Yin/Yang yoga

Yin/Yang Yoga will be offered in the Deep Stretch slot, starting March 6. Yin Yoga stretches are specific floor stretches that are held from one to five minutes. Stretching this way helps to lengthen connective tissue and support a greater degree of openness in the hips, hamstrings and low back. The Yin-style stretches will be followed by a short period of Yang-style yoga that addresses muscle flexibility and strength. Students very new to yoga may find this class challenging; otherwise, open to all levels.
